This section is one of the main reasons for the site. Having got a lot of factual stuff up now, I shall be enhancing this considerably soon, and then incrementally. Things like low BT IP Profiles, much lower connection speeds than expected, frequent drop-outs and so on. Anything not covered here now or later please see my suggestion about thinkbroadband on my Home Page. Unstable lines that require a high “target” Noise Margin. Ring/Bell wire description and fixing. High noise margin/SNR/SNRM/SN Margin. ADSL router locking up. Specifically Thomson Speedtouch but the solution may apply to others. Miscellaneous nasties. Various bits and bobs that can cause trouble but don’t fit in well anywhere else. Added to as I come across them. |
